Bell & Ross: Roaring Twenties in Kuala Lumpur

The evening of November the 1 2011, F J Benjamin organized the Best Period Party of The Year - Bell & Ross Rebirth of The Classic The Prequel Party in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur. This party is held in conjunction with the opening first Bell & Ross Boutique in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur and the launch of the new Vintage Pocket Watch PW1 and Vintage Wristwatch WW1.

We were delighted to have VIPs, celebrities, members of the media and exclusively invited guests and the swing dancers - dolled up in their best glad rags where the razzle and dazzle of the Roaring Twenties were reawakened in the style of famed literary fantasies The Great Gatsby and Chicago. 

Before the start of the event, my colleagues and I were all busy to "transformed" ourselves into the Roaring Twenties look. Some of us turned out to be gorgeous lady travelled back in 20's while some of us were shocked with the "outdated" hair-do. After all, all of us were dressed up to the theme and looking fabulous for the event. Here is the group photo we took before the action.

 Tai Kor Leong Jia Cheen (Brand Manager - Bell & Ross Malaysia), Tai Lou Tong Chee Wei (General Manager - F J Benjamin for Timepiece Division), Mr Carlos Rosillo (Co-Founder and CEO of Bell & Ross), my gorgeous lady bosses Angie Chong (CEO of F J Benjamin Malaysia), Cindy Lee (Assistant Manager of F J Benjamin for Timepiece Division) and the newly appointed Mr Fabien de Nonancourt (Regional Sales Director of Bell & Ross). Why am I not in the picture? I am the 7th most important person for the brand and the photo is filled up. Haha!

Held inside a secluded black ten which held two stages, guests were attended to with delectable Hors d'oeuvres and a free flow of bubbly all evening (which I didn't get a taste of it at all..... Gotta work what!).

Among the celebrities who joined the event were Deborah Henry, Amber Chia, power couple Sazzy Falak and Nazril Idrus, Stephanie Chai, Hansen Lee, Melvin Sia, Deborah Goh, Adrian Seet and more.

On the Black Stage, an international big band assembled exclusively for the party played while actress/singer Deanna Yusoff. 

American jazz singer Cynthia Utterbach enthralled the crowd with their voices.  

On the Red stage, TV personality Jojo Struys tickled the audience with some tap dancing, before Parisian dancer Julie Richer took over with her international troupe for a wicked burlesque performance.

Ending the night by launching the dancefloor was a special DJ set by New York musician, composer and sound designer Ion Furjanic.

It was such a great party and I am proud to be part of the organizing team. Actually I was very anxious that I wear a dress in the same colour as my boss Cindy. I apologized to her and she was all okay with it. When I saw my big boss Angie came in the same Royal Blue dress.... Frankly speaking, I wanted to dig a hole to hide. What a bad mistake to make? Thank god the both of them are okay with it (I hope). Look! Phin from NST is such a lucky guy to take this photo with "Sisters in Royal Blue". Cheese....!
